Biography: I'm
an almost retired pharmacist, working two days a week.
Received my Pharmacy Degree from Purdue University in 1958. Owned my
own pharmacy for over 25 years and have worked in this field for
over 44 years. Married to Sandra for 47 years and she is
also a ham (KJ5Q). Three adult children. One daughter
graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Foreign Languages.
The other daughter is a cost accountant and a manufacturing software
consultant. Our son is a management engineer for a large
international corporation. Spend our summers in Indiana and most of
the year in our home in Las Cruces,
New Mexico. In love with the desert southwest and now claim it
as our home. Travel a great deal. Home is on the
northeast side of Las Cruces,
approximately 5 miles from Organ Mountains. Grid Square is
DM62pj. Enjoy providing emergency radio
communication for community races and work with Search & Rescue.
Equipment: Icom 756 & Icom Speaker SP20. Antenna is Mosley
Pro67B + 40 on 40 ft. Glen Martin tower with Hazer. (Elevation
= 4440 ft. ASL) Also have long wire for 80 and 160 M.
Use a Heil Gold Line mike. Use Icom 706MKIIG as a mobile with
a Hustler antenna.

Hobbies: Hobbies include ham radio (of course); activities in the Masonic
Lodge,
Scottish Rite, and Shrine lodges; and collecting and finishing rocks
and
gems. New Mexico has almost unlimited areas for trips for
hunting and
collecting rock specimens.
